Informal Interactions with Doug Adams

With extensive global travel demands inherent in managing a truly international enterprise, how do you maintain a balance between your professional obligations and personal life?

I’m probably the wrong person to ask, if I’m honest! I struggle with it because I’m a bit of a workaholic, but I like to think that makes me pretty decent to work for, since I understand and try to encourage the need for breaks (especially when it comes to not overdoing it on work-related trips). Whether I’m traveling for work or for fun, I have my rituals that help me stay relatively jet-lag-proof, and I make sure I’m carving out time for those no matter how non-stop a trip might be.

That said, wherever I am in the world, my priorities are my wife, my children, and my dogs. They always come first, and spending quality time with them, where I’m fully tuned into connecting with them and not juggling a million thoughts and tasks, is the most important way I can maintain a good balance. Two of the best days of the last year were when my daughters got married, and I had the honor of officiating one of the ceremonies. Being able to celebrate with them, my new sons-in-law, and the rest of our family was so special. It’s important to me that I’m there for the big days, the bad days, and everything in between.

This will help us track how much traffic is coming to the website through our LinkedIn Ads and better understand the traction from our campaigns. I’ve included the steps for where the code needs to be added, along with the code snippet below. Please use the provided code as instructed. Code snippet -
