Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Horse: Power in Motion

To mark the 2026 Lunar New Year, Hublot unveils the Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Horse Frosted Carbon, a limited 88-piece edition that transforms carbon into sculpted artistry. The 42mm tonneau-shaped case is crafted entirely in matte frosted carbon and paired with a black lacquer base and smoked sapphire caseback, to create a dramatic stage for the dial’s intricate marquetry.

Inspired by Tang dynasty artistry, the dial depicts a high-spirited, flower-dappled horse outlined in 3N gold-plated brass appliqués. Every fragment of carbon is hand-cut and assembled to form a layered marquetry while three-dimensional gold lines—echoing ancient ceremonial embroidery—bring the motif to life. The Dragon-Horse spirit, which symbolizes ambition and forward momentum in Chinese culture, flows from dial to design. Inside beats the MHUB1710 self-winding movement that delivers approximately 50 hours of power reserve. The calibre, composed of 166 components and operating at 4Hz, ensures dependable precision beneath its artistic façade.

Finished with a black calfskin strap and deployant clasp in black ceramic and black-plated titanium, the watch is as assertive as it is symbolic.
