Daniel Golding is one of digital infrastructure’s most influential technical leaders, with a 25-year career spanning AOL, Google, and The ASG Team. He has helped shape the industry through innovations in internet interconnection, hyperscale deployment, and infrastructure strategy, including engineering methodologies that accelerated data center delivery timelines by up to 5x.
A former NANOG Chairman and co-founder of Open-IX, Dan has also helped establish foundational industry standards and governance. Most recently, he coined the term “Fake Data Center,” giving the industry a shared language for addressing speculative AI infrastructure projects. With oversight of more than $25 billion in hyperscale construction and involvement in iMasons’ Power Accord, Dan’s impact reflects technical excellence, industry leadership, and a commitment to advancing digital infrastructure.
