Known to reign the world of horologerie with their iconic Oyster Perpetual, Rolex introduces an unexpected creative twist with three new variants of its Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36.
Crafted from 18 ct yellow, white or Everose gold, these watches adopt a creative new face with an arc-shaped aperture at 12 o’clock displaying an inspirational keyword in English – ‘Happy’, ‘Eternity’, ‘Gratitude’, ‘Peace’, ‘Faith’, ‘Love’ and ‘Hope’. The date-display window at 3 o’clock reveals daily one of 31 exclusive emojis in place of the date.
Created using champlevé enamelling, the dial gleams colour and decoration with a jigsaw puzzle inspired motif made of turquoise blue, red, fuchsia, orange, green and yellow pieces against a single-colour background. The hours are marked by 10 baguette-cut sapphires in six different hues according to the main colour of the dial:
- Turquoise blue on the 18 ct yellow gold version
- Turquoise blue on the 18 ct white gold version
- Orange on the watch in 18 ct Everose gold version
The new Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 are guaranteed waterproof to 100m and is equipped with the calibre 3255 that enables the watch to display a special keyword each day of the week and an individual emoji each day of the month, as well as the hours, minutes, and seconds.
Each version is fitted with a three-piece link President bracelet matching the case:
18 ct yellow or white gold for those with a turquoise blue puzzle-motif dial, or in 18 ct Everose gold for the orange puzzle-motif dial.
