At the start of 2023, you were appointed to your current role. Can you share with us how your breadth of financial advisory experience and knowledge across real estate and technology industries prepared you for this role, and what your journey at Digital Realty has been like so far?
A big part of how this opportunity coalesced with my background was laid out by our President and Chief Executive Officer, Andy Power, when he hired me. They were looking for somebody with strong financial acumen and deep knowledge of Asia Pacific, with a strong business development track record. My background in real estate, technology-focused private equity, and finance, with an emphasis on business transformation technology and finance, was a great fit.
My journey so far has been dynamic and deeply rewarding. I began by becoming familiar with the portfolio—coming to terms with the profit and loss (P&L) and the different teams—and quickly moved into spearheading growth initiatives across mature and emerging markets. As we refreshed our strategy, we focused on delivering our global platform strategy in the region and building future-ready digital infrastructure.
