While your work life requires being in tune with ever-shifting market dynamics and balancing risks with rewards, how do you invest time, energy, and other resources into your personal life?
My wife and I are raising a young daughter, so most of my time these days goes into that, and that’s been a priority that keeps everything in perspective for me. Beyond time with my family, I’ve always been a builder at heart. I like to tinker with things, and I’m always designing something new. I’ve been an entrepreneur previously, so this sort of rapid entrepreneurial environment isn’t something new to me. I think it carries through into my experience at TAFS: I care deeply about understanding the technology, not just putting the funds in place for it to get built. I’m also Honduran, and growing up in an environment that has large infrastructure gaps makes this work a lot more meaningful for me since I’m able to stay connected to my country and close gaps there and elsewhere.
