Drawing on more than 160 years of chronograph expertise, TAG Heuer reimagines its cornerstone complication with the Monaco Evergraph, built around Calibre TH80-00—a movement five years in the making with TAG Heuer LAB and Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. Its most radical feature is a compliant chronograph mechanism that does away with the levers and springs that have governed start, stop, and reset since the complication’s origins. In their place, two flexible bistable components, produced using high-precision LIGA technology, deliver crisp, identical actuation whether on the first press or the ten-thousandth.
The movement runs at 5Hz, is COSC-certified, and pairs an inverted architecture with the TH-Carbonspring oscillator that exposes the barrel, gear train, and escapement on the dial side beneath a transparent acrylic surface. Its 40mm grade five titanium case traces back to reference 1133 from 1969, with the signature left-mounted crown and sweeping arched bridges lending a sense of suspended, ethereal symmetry.
Offered in two executions—a blue-accented titanium model nodding to Steve McQueen’s reference 1133B and a black DLC version drawing on TAG Heuer’s racing heritage—the Evergraph is priced from 23,000 CHF.
