Amazon Goes Big with Issuance of $1B Sustainability Bond

There is not a day that goes by that Amazon is not in the news, and a large part of these headlines are for the ongoing efforts the entire company continues to make in the world of sustainability. Amazon is determined to be the Earth’s most customer-centric company, best employer and the safest place to work. This is a goal that would seem unobtainable for most companies throughout the world, but it somehow seems to be a very realistic option for Amazon.

From becoming one of the world’s largest corporate purchasers of renewable energy to deploying a new fleet of electric vehicles, Amazon is working to reduce their carbon footprint across all of their business operations, and they are leading the way for other companies to decarbonize worldwide. The biggest news now in the world of Amazon is the issuance of this $1B sustainability bond to fund ongoing and new sustainability projects that advance people and the planet.
