Data centers are powering the artificial intelligence (AI) economy, yet many of the facilities supporting today’s most advanced workloads still rely on manual processes to run their own operations.
From Complexity to Clarity in Data Center Operations
Led by co-founders Jasper de Vries and René Gompel, Lucend has developed a Transparent AI platform that analyzes data center sensor data and delivers actionable, human-verified recommendations to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and prioritize maintenance where it matters. The company’s approach is grounded in a simple idea: Data center operators should have clearer visibility into what is happening across their facilities and remain in control of what happens next.
Turning Existing Data into Actionable Intelligence
The concept began in 2019, when de Vries and Gompel were asked to explore how AI could improve data center operations. Data centers are complex environments where performance, sustainability, and reliability are interconnected. Lucend grew from a proof of concept into an AI platform deployed across regions, turning those hidden patterns into something operators can act on.
