From your perspective, what does “digital convergence across the Atlantic” truly mean, and why is it a critical theme for the industry right now?

Digital convergence across the Atlantic means transforming an ocean into a shared and interconnected future. It’s about creating a resilient, secure, and inclusive digital corridor linking Europe, Africa, and the Americas through not only subsea cables and interconnection hubs but also trust frameworks and collaborative innovation.

This focus is essential because global data flows are accelerating, driven by AI, IoT, and edge computing. The Atlantic is the busiest digital seaway, and convergence ensures this growth is sustainable, secure, and aligned with diverse regulatory landscapes. Ultimately, it empowers enterprises and societies to unlock opportunities and navigate digital change together.
