The Scale and Complexity of the Data Center Market

Not all data centers are built the same. What are you doing to meet this new complexity?

Marc Ganzi: We’re built for this. DigitalBridge is a global, technology-agnostic investor and operator. Across our platforms—DataBank, Vantage, Switch, Scala, AtlasEdge, AIMS, and now Yondr—we support hyperscalers and enterprises with tailored, scalable infrastructure across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Data centers also don’t operate in a silo: They need to have good working relationships with network carriers, power supplies, and fiber operators (just to name a few). Our ability to operate and invest in five key verticals in the digital infrastructure sphere—data centers, cell towers, fiber networks, small cells, and edge infrastructure—gives us more opportunity to accelerate and offer more seamless solutions.

How do you decide where to deploy capital in such a dynamic market?

Jon Mauck: For us, it’s not just about the entry price. It’s about where our operational expertise can unlock value. Every data center we invest in must meet the increasing demands of AI workloads—higher densities, advanced cooling, and future scalability. That’s how we deliver “more, better, faster” infrastructure.
