Vacheron Constantin Grand Lady Kalla: A High Jewelry Masterpiece

Vacheron Constantin expands its storied legacy of jewelry timepieces with three dazzling new interpretations of the Grand Lady Kalla, now adorned with colored gemstones for the first time. Building on a lineage that began with the legendary Kallista of 1979, these new models transform time into a fully articulated jewel, honoring a 270-year tradition of creative and technical excellence.

Each variation pairs the Maison’s emblematic emerald-cut diamonds with either rubies, sapphires, or emeralds–stones certified by SSEF for their exceptional quality. Presented as four interchangeable components–a fully gem-set watch, a jewel piece, a rivière-style bracelet, and an opulent sautoir necklace–the Grand Lady Kalla is designed to be worn in four distinct ways. This interchangeability allows the wearer to shift effortlessly from wristwatch to pendant, bracelet to high jewelry adornment, supported by hidden mechanisms that require no tools.

The design’s geometry nods to Art Deco, with its refined rectilinear forms and an unbroken expanse of meticulously set stones. The emerald cut enhances clarity and architectural precision, while the sugarloaf-cut centrepiece on the jewel element offers soft, domed radiance. Akoya pearls and polished ornamental beads add further texture to the sautoir, culminating in an elegant tassel that recalls early 20th-century pendant watches.

More than a watch, the Grand Lady Kalla is a transformable work of haute joaillerie.
