This year, Van Cleef & Arpels shone a spotlight on one of its most beloved poetic complications: Pont des Amoureux. This signature creation, long cherished for its romantically animated tableau, returns in four new editions inspired by the changing light of the Parisian sky: dawn, morning, dusk, and moonlight. Each variation reimagines the Maison’s iconic lovers’ rendezvous with a soft, atmospheric palette rendered in exquisite grisaille enamel, transforming the dial into a delicate scene suspended above the Seine.
At the heart of Pont des Amoureux is a double retrograde movement: the lady advances to mark the hours, the gentleman to mark the minutes, meeting in a kiss at noon and midnight. In the 2025 editions, this moment becomes even more intimate thanks to the on-demand animation, allowing the wearer to summon the embrace with a press of the pusher.
Each dial is a hand-crafted miniature, where the depth of grisaille enamel and the softness of sculpted relief bring Paris to life in shifting light with rosy dawns, radiant mornings, violet dusks, and serene moonlit nights. These new harmonies preserve the poetic soul of the original while enriching its artistic vocabulary.
