In your role, you’re frequently looking at the big picture of both the company and the stakeholders it serves. What do you do to ground yourself in the present when it comes to managing your work-life balance and meeting your personal day-to-day and longer term needs?
In my case, I’ve been traveling around 20 to 22 days every single month and spending a lot of time working from airports, hotels, and convention centers. So, I have very limited down time, but what I do have, I like to spend with my family. My kids are studying abroad, so in a way we’re all moving around the globe, but I seize every chance I can for quality time together.
Apart from family time, I like to work out since it helps liberate some stress. I used to play golf at least once a week, and it’s a hobby I’d very much like to regain.
Still, I’m very fortunate in that I enjoy my professional life so much. I’ve been in the industry for more than 30 years, and I clearly understand what we are doing and how these efforts will impact the region that gave us so many opportunities. So, it’s been challenging to find that balance, but it’s also very exciting.
