With an Order of the British Empire for contributions to the digital economy, Michael Tobin is widely regarded as the creator of the European data center industry. As Telecity Group CEO, Tobin grew the company into a multi-million-dollar enterprise. Now serving on tech company boards across four continents, Tobin has received numerous awards and authored several books (Forget Strategy. Get Results; Live, Love, Work, Prosper; Lifting the Floor). Tobin continues to apply his entrepreneurial talents to various digital infrastructure sectors and his “maverick” management style, including overcoming team fears through swimming with sharks. Along with his passion for work, he always finds new ways to give back to the world and its communities. In addition to raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities through things like a 100-mile trek in Antarctica for brain tumor research, Tobin is the Chairman of the Friends of The Loomba Trust, patron of The British Asian Trust and Action Against Hunger, and the founder of the CEO Sleepout event for Action for Children.
