Atlantic Convergence 2024

The second installment of exclusive insight into the inaugural version of this one-of-a-kind digital infrastructure event

In Issue 17 of InterGlobix Magazine, we published Part I of a special report on Atlantic Convergence, the one-of-a-kind event that brings together leaders of the digital infrastructure industry across four continents—North America, South America, Europe, and Africa. In this initial installment of the report, we focused on North America and showcased industry insights from seven leaders: Ivo Ivanov (DE-CIX), Dr. Daniel S. Hamilton (Transatlantic Leadership Network), Vinay Nagpal (IG Group), Cristina Dolan (Columbia University), Scott K. Brown (Pixel Factory Data Center), Justin Melnikoff (MOX Networks), and John W. Martin (RVA757 Connects).

In the second part of this special feature, we focus on the remaining three continents involved in this significant event—South America, Europe, and Africa. Six leaders from across these regions—including Tesh Durvasula (AtlasEdge), Mohamad H. Ibrahim (Interfiber Networks), Ângelo Gama (Angola Cables), Tito Costa (Elea Data Centers), Philippe Dumont (EllaLink), and Robert Skjødt (Raxio Group)—share their views on Atlantic Convergence 2024 and shed light on what they expect from the second edition of this global conference, which will be held October 28–30, 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal. Before we dive into insights from these leaders, we also check in with Ivo Ivanov, who reiterates the importance of a Pan-Atlantic digital infrastructure event and what Atlantic Convergence and its Lisbon location have to offer.
