The Reality Of AI
Over the last 30+ years I’ve lived through numerous trends that predicted massive growth of the digital infrastructure industry. Examples include the dot-bomb, Virtual Realty, IoT, google glass, edge computing, blockchain and my personal favorite, the Metaverse. All had promise but ultimately they did not live up to the hype. The forecasted growth did not materialize. Then in early 2023 AI took the world by storm and everything changed.
